IT Operations – Cybersecurity Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Manage and provision users, groups, and licenses in either Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

• Onboard Windows/macOS laptops into MDM and facilitate remote device handovers.

• Handle first-line support tickets, including password resets and access requests.

• Escalate more complex issues as necessary.

• Conduct weekly maintenance checks covering patch statuses, backup logs, and security alerts.

• Document solutions and create runbooks to ensure processes are repeatable.

• Dedicate approximately 20% of your time to security projects, which include CVE research and briefings, development of laptop hardening scripts, drafting incident-response playbooks, and creating ISO 27001 checklists.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of practical experience in IT operations, helpdesk, or systems administration.

• Demonstrated administrative capabilities in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, covering user/group management, security policies, and basic troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with MDM platforms such as Intune, Jamf, or equivalent.

• Proficient in at least one scripting language, including PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Reliable internet connection and a professional remote work setup.

• Ability to work independently and comfortably across different time zones.

• Microsoft 365 Certification (Administrator Expert or Endpoint Administrator) is a plus.

• Google Workspace Administrator certification is a plus.

• Familiarity with security frameworks like ISO 27001 or SOC 2 is a plus.

• Proficiency in German is advantageous.
