IT Lizenzmanager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You ensure that the use of software licenses within our company is automated, transparent, compliant with regulations, and cost-effective.

• You serve as the primary point of contact for licensing inquiries and navigate confidently between IT, procurement, compliance, and various departments.

• You manage and maintain our license inventory using a license management or SAM tool.

• You monitor license agreements, usage rights, durations, termination periods, and audit requirements.

• You closely coordinate with IT procurement and technical departments regarding software acquisitions and deployments.

• You generate license balances as well as compliance and management reports.

• Additionally, you conduct internal license audits and assist with external software audits.

• You analyze and optimize license utilization (e.g., reducing over-licensing).

• You advise IT and departments on license terms, usage rights, and compliance guidelines.

• You train and raise awareness among employees regarding software licenses.

• You monitor market and licensing model developments (Subscription, Cloud, SaaS).

• Furthermore, you contribute to the selection, implementation, and enhancement of license management tools/processes.

• You provide consulting input during contract negotiations and discussions with vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess in-depth knowledge of common licensing models and experience with SAM tools such as Flexera, Snow, or ServiceNow.

• You are familiar with licensing models and audit procedures of major vendors and have foundational knowledge in software and contract law.

• Furthermore, you are proficient in Excel, reporting tools, and IT service management systems.

• Additionally, you have a background in IT-related training or a relevant degree, along with several years of professional experience in IT license management or SAM.

• You work in a structured, meticulous, and analytical manner, demonstrating a high level of responsibility.

• Moreover, you excel in communication, assertiveness, and discretion when handling sensitive data.

• You also possess very good German language skills, both spoken and written (at least C1).
