• You will ensure that the utilization of software licenses within our organization is automated, transparent, legally compliant, and cost-efficient.
• You will serve as the primary point of contact for licensing inquiries and confidently navigate between IT, Procurement, Compliance, and various business units.
• You will manage and maintain our license inventories using a license management/SAM tool.
• You will oversee license agreements, usage rights, contract terms, notice periods, and audit requirements.
• You will closely coordinate with IT Procurement and application IT regarding software acquisitions and deployments.
• You will prepare license reconciliations along with compliance and management reports.
• You will also conduct internal license audits and assist with external software audits.
• You will analyze and enhance license usage (e.g., minimizing over-licensing).
• You will provide guidance to IT and business units on license terms, usage rights, and compliance obligations.
• You will educate and raise awareness among employees about the proper management of software licenses.
• You will keep track of market and licensing model developments (subscription, cloud, SaaS).
• Additionally, you will contribute to the selection, implementation, and ongoing development of license management tools and processes.
• You will offer advisory input for contract drafting and vendor negotiations.
• You possess a strong understanding of common licensing models and have experience with SAM tools such as Flexera, Snow, or ServiceNow.
• You are knowledgeable about the licensing models and audit procedures of major vendors and have a basic understanding of software and contract law.
• You are adept with Excel, reporting tools, and IT service management systems.
• You hold an IT-related qualification or relevant degree and have several years of professional experience in IT license management or SAM.
• You work in a structured, meticulous, and analytical manner and exhibit a high level of responsibility.
• You demonstrate strong communication skills, assertiveness, and discretion when managing sensitive data.
• You possess excellent German language skills, both written and spoken (minimum C1).
