This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary contact for resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Construct, reconstruct, and set up computers and virtual machines, ensuring systems operate at peak performance.
• Set up and oversee Office 365 and Azure tenants, including the management of users and groups.
• Deliver prompt and professional support, both remotely and on-site.
• Execute network cleanups, reconfigurations, and maintenance to enhance stability, efficiency, and security.
• Monitor and oversee system performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they affect users.
• Provide remote and on-site helpdesk support for end users, ensuring timely resolutions and effective communication.
• Manage remote patch deployment, software updates, and system upgrades to uphold compliance and security standards.
• Support and maintain VPN, firewall, and remote access solutions to guarantee secure and reliable connectivity.
• Work with Cisco networking devices, including switches, routers, and access points, to support LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Maintain endpoint security through antivirus/EDR tools, updates, and system hardening practices.
• Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity.
• Collaborate with team members to swiftly resolve technical issues and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Actively seek out learning opportunities and keep abreast of emerging technologies to enhance both individual and team capabilities.
• At least five (5) years of experience in computer and network support.
• A High School Diploma or GED is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field is preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification is preferred (Network+, Security+, or Cisco certifications are advantageous).
• Extensive experience in managing Office 365 and Azure tenants.
• Proficient in supporting computer systems and networks, including standalone systems, laptops/desktops, and peripheral devices.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 configuration in both virtual and physical environments.
• Experience with remote patch management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, WSUS) and endpoint administration.
• Familiarity with Cisco networking technologies, including switches, routers, and network troubleshooting.
• Comprehensive understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, firewalls, and Active Directory/GPO.
• Prior help desk or technical support experience is required.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication abilities with the capacity to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Highly motivated self-starter with a keen interest in learning and adapting to new technologies.
