IT Infrastructure Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in the migration of infrastructure, systems, and services to Azure.

• Evaluate and document current environments (on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based).

• Develop and implement migration strategies (lift-and-shift, replatforming, or modernization).

• Maintain security, compliance, and governance standards throughout the process.

• Identify and resolve issues related to migration.

• Work collaboratively with project managers to monitor progress and manage risks.

• Create clear technical documentation and handover materials.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer to internal teams following migration.

• Carry out migrations for:

• Servers and virtual machines.

• Active Directory / Azure AD (Entra ID).

• File services and storage.

• Line-of-business applications.

• Assist with tenant consolidation and identity integration across various entities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including:

• Azure Virtual Machines, Networking, and Storage.

• Azure Migrate and associated tools.

• Azure AD / Entra ID, identity management, and hybrid identity.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering infrastructure migration or transformation projects.

• Experience migrating from:

• On-premises environments (VMware / Hyper-V).

• Existing cloud platforms (Azure / AWS).

• Strong understanding of:

• Networking (VPNs, firewalls, routing).

• Security best practices in cloud environments.

• Backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 tenant migrations.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience within professional services or accounting firms.

• Familiarity with accounting platforms such as CCH & IRIS.

• Azure Landing Zones.

• Infrastructure as Code (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform).

• Endpoint management (Intune).

• Data migration tools and strategies.
