This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Align the IT strategy of the organization with its business goals.
• Manage risks and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Oversee the creation of policies, frameworks, and metrics aimed at optimizing IT assets and improving operational security.
• Develop project work plans, manage technical resources, and direct execution to meet scope, quality, and performance criteria.
• Lead all facets of IT governance, including the development of board charters, management of strategic roadmaps, and oversight of compliance and risk mitigation efforts.
• Guide the enterprise governance strategy, facilitating integration across organizational units, and lead teams in process redesign and performance enhancement.
• Act as the primary liaison with executive-level stakeholders.
• Promote organizational adaptability and cultivate a culture of transparency and innovation.
• Support the transformation and operations of IT Governance.
• Refine and improve the IT Governance Board (ITGB) strategy, processes, and activities.
• Update and integrate Change Request (CR) processes and procedures with broader IT Governance.
• Redesign the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and implement automation.
• Refresh DMCC processes in alignment with new IT governance.
• Assist the agency in identifying AI use cases and supervise the development of AI packages.
• Explore emerging AI use case archetypes and establish procedures in line with agency policies to evaluate compliance with strategic objectives.
• Coordinate architecture, strategic assessments, and project activities in accordance with the IT Governance Boards.
• Monitor, assess, and interpret various laws, regulations, and policies affecting the agency.
• Identify requirements and amend MOUs as needed; establish and implement procedures to ensure continuous MOU compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in a field related to information technology, along with fifteen (15) years of professional IT experience.
• Must successfully complete, pass, and maintain a public trust investigation.
• High proficiency in understanding and applying industry standards and best practices in data governance and data management theories, principles, practices, and methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Over 15 years of experience in data governance, data analysis, and data management, preferably in a large enterprise setting.
• Experience in practicing or facilitating stewardship in data governance and data management technical platforms related to activities such as data cataloging, business glossary development, data lineage, stewardship engagement, and metadata enrichment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for stakeholder management.
