This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver engineering-level support for endpoints and infrastructure to a federal agency client.
• Design and uphold secure, standardized workstation images for macOS and Windows platforms, including VDI and remote access setups.
• Develop and sustain endpoint configuration baselines utilizing Ivanti, KACE, Microsoft Intune, and Windows Autopilot; address configuration drift and enforce compliance protocols.
• Establish and oversee OS and application patch management processes; coordinate orchestration, post-deployment validation, and rollback procedures.
• Assist in device enrollment, provisioning, and lifecycle management through Intune, Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, and JAMF; ensure accurate asset inventory is maintained.
• Set up and manage endpoint logging and telemetry; guarantee log forwarding to enterprise SIEM and EDR systems.
• Adhere to a structured assessment-to-remediation workflow, generating Findings Reports, Remediation Plans, and Validation Reports for all engineering modifications.
• Create and uphold operational runbooks, knowledge transfer documents, and escalation protocols.
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Over 8 years of experience in Information Technology, Endpoint Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
• At least 6 years of experience executing engineering (not help desk) roles in enterprise settings.
• Proficient in constructing and sustaining Windows and macOS workstation images, including automation, validation, and rollback processes.
• Practical experience with Ivanti and/or KACE for OS and application patch management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot for device provisioning and compliance enforcement.
• Experience in implementing passwordless authentication and hardware-backed credentials.
• Skills in configuring endpoint logging and directing telemetry to SIEM and EDR systems.
• Competence in supporting forensic data collection and audit readiness.
• Experience working under established change control, audit, and security governance frameworks.
• Proficiency with JAMF Pro for macOS endpoint management.
• Possession of a Microsoft certification in endpoint management or cloud administration.
• Prior experience in federal government IT engineering roles.
• Must possess or be eligible to acquire and complete a government security screening and/or a Secret security clearance.
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance is required.
