This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the design, development, administration, and ongoing enhancement of our enterprise platform, ServiceNow.
• Deliver customization and configuration for ServiceNow, encompassing scripting, workflow administration, workspace setup, report configuration, module adjustments, data imports, and third-party software integration.
• Assist in development projects involving custom portal pages, modules, APIs, software integrations, tailored web pages, user interface policies, and scripts.
• Create, test, and deploy Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs, including advanced scripting, forms workflows, and custom Service Portal widgets.
• Collaborate with application teams to design and implement data interfaces with other enterprise application systems.
• Ensure the platform operates correctly and is configured properly through rigorous testing and validation.
• Develop, test, and implement data integrations using API calls to various technologies within our platform environment.
• Manage the application, including installation, upgrades, configuration, operation, and maintenance.
• Design and create custom scoped applications on the ServiceNow platform to fulfill business requirements.
• Develop and document operational best practices for the platform.
• Automate the processing of incoming emails by implementing email injection and enabling the handling and parsing of emails for actionable workflows.
• Enhance the maturity of the environment by researching and deploying new tools and technologies.
• Act as the Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the application layer of our ServiceNow platform.
• Manage ServiceNow On-Call Schedules, including configuring escalation paths, rotation groups, and notification rules to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 incident response coverage.
• Maintain and enhance CMDB data accuracy by auditing Configuration Items (CIs), validating relationships, and aligning records with ITIL best practices to support change and incident management.
• Ensure that platform configurations and customizations adhere to organizational security policies and standards.
• Implement role-based access controls and manage user permissions.
• Support audits and compliance reporting related to ServiceNow usage.
• Assist ITIL processes within ServiceNow, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
• Work collaboratively with process owners to improve workflows and ensure they meet business needs.
• Mentor junior ServiceNow developers and administrators.
• Master's degree in Computer and Information Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related area.
• 24 months of experience in the role offered or in a developer-related position.
• Proficiency in JavaScript.
• Knowledge of UI, SQL, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with XML and structural programming concepts.
• Experience with Application Programming Interfaces for integration such as REST API and SOAP API.
• Expertise in asset and configuration management.
• Understanding of ITIL and ITSM processes.
• Ability to oversee and implement integrations with external tools, including SAP, SailPoint, Twilio, MS Teams, SharePoint, and custom enterprise applications.
• Support for Robotics Process Automation integrations.
• Enhance UI/UX utilizing Jelly, Angular, or Bootstrap.
• Knowledge of Agile development frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Competence in Mid Server communication, security, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining ServiceNow integrations with REST, SOAP, OAuth, JDBC, JSON, Python, and Perl.
