This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +32 more states.
• Define and spearhead the overarching technical strategy for operational analytics platforms across the enterprise, ensuring it aligns with the organization’s objectives and operational model.
• Design scalable, secure, and integrated analytics solutions that encompass Epic Cogito, third-party BI tools, and cloud data platforms.
• Create and uphold a framework for tool utilization that guides development teams in selecting appropriate technologies for various use cases.
• Assess emerging capabilities from Epic and third parties in analytics and lead the planning and implementation of their adoption.
• Act as a consultative partner for analytics developers and business stakeholders, offering expert advice on solution design, technology selection, and best practices for implementation.
• Advocate for and support a federated development model by mentoring analysts and empowering full-stack development skills.
• Encourage knowledge transfer and standardization across teams to guarantee consistent and high-quality delivery of solutions.
• Implement and manage standardized DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines for analytics development and deployment.
• Design and enforce a comprehensive RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) security model across all analytics platforms, adhering to guidelines from Data Governance and other platform owners.
• Collaborate with IT leadership and business units to ensure that analytics platform capabilities are in sync with strategic priorities and yield measurable outcomes.
• Provide architectural oversight and technical guidance for analytics projects within the project portfolio.
• Assist project management efforts by engaging in risk mitigation strategies, planning for implementation, and facilitating stakeholder communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Generally requires 5 or more years in progressively responsible roles in IT data or analytics, with at least 3 years dedicated to analytics architecture or enterprise reporting platforms in a healthcare context.
• Extensive knowledge of Epic Cogito architecture and data structures (Caboodle, Clarity, Palette, etc.), and/or other suitable data platforms depending on the role/function.
• Proficient in one or more of the following platforms: BusinessObjects, Power BI, SSRS, and Snowflake.
• Strong grasp of data governance, security models (RBAC), and DevOps practices within analytics environments.
• Demonstrated ability to define and implement technical strategies across complex, multi-platform environments.
