IT Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold robust, scalable data pipelines that integrate information from various sources.

• Develop effective database solutions to gather, store, secure, and allow access to data.

• Create algorithms that convert raw data into actionable insights that align with business goals.

• Assess and enhance data systems and processes to boost efficiency and reliability.

• Implement mechanisms to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

• Work collaboratively with machine learning engineers, data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related area.

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar capacity.

• Comprehensive knowledge of SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP HANA, CDS Views, ABAP fundamentals, SAP data extraction frameworks, and analytical data modeling best practices.

• Proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Strong understanding of both relational and non-relational databases.

• Experience in designing and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.

• Familiarity with integrating SAP and non-SAP data sources.

• Experience utilizing SAP Datasphere, SAP Data Integration capabilities, Databricks, and contemporary data engineering frameworks.

• Knowledge of cloud-based data platform architectures and modern cloud technologies.

• Understanding of reporting, analytics, planning, and business intelligence processes, including the underlying data models and requirements.

• Exceptional communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.

• Familiarity with Azure services and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts is an advantage.
