This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a strategic intermediary between business divisions and Information Technology.
• Ensure that technological solutions are in line with organizational objectives and operational requirements.
• Establish robust, collaborative relationships with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Assess the health of relationships and satisfaction levels of business partners.
• Promote ongoing enhancement of BRM practices and engagement strategies.
• Counsel organizational leadership and influence business partners up to the level of President and C-Suite executives.
• Develop IT Services and Solutions strategies and roadmaps in collaboration with business partners.
• Identify and prioritize technology initiatives that provide business value.
• Discover innovative applications of technology to boost revenue, reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and improve operations.
• Enable communication among business partners, technical partners, and IT leadership.
• Manage the expectations of various business partners.
• Plan IT changes and convey their significance and impact on business operations.
• Define, agree upon, and report on key service metrics.
• Serve as an escalation point for significant service delivery challenges.
• Develop and oversee service improvement plans in collaboration with service owners.
• Assist in the planning and approval of new services between business and IT leadership.
• Shape technology demand and guide ideas through the demand management process.
• Facilitate the creation of business cases for presentation to senior leadership.
• Provide transparency into the demand pipeline, prioritization, and decision-making outcomes.
• Ensure that idea requirements are well understood, documented, and approved.
• Monitor demand management metrics and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
• Comprehend departmental business activities, processes, strategies, technologies, and IT services.
• Advocate for business partners and align IT roadmaps with business strategies.
• Influence both business and technology partners at various organizational levels.
• Navigate differing agendas, political dynamics, and resistance to change.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, future directions, and technological expectations.
• 3–5 years of experience in Business Relationship Management.
• Over 5 years in a management role in IT, program management, or a related business field.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or technology discipline.
• Experience in a business-facing IT organization and collaborating with business partners.
• Experience working with Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, and C-Suite executives.
• BRM certification is preferred.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and serve as a trusted business advisor.
• Proven ability to prioritize and execute effectively under pressure.
• Experience in team-oriented and collaborative environments.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
• Proficient in conveying complex issues clearly, concisely, and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
• Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing situations and priorities.
• Experience facilitating comprehensive engagement and achieving business outcomes.
• Proficient in leading discussions on business-process modeling.
• Excellent understanding of one or more business areas and the IT organization.
• Knowledge of core business processes and operations.
• Familiarity with strategic use of technology to meet business goals.
• Ability to articulate complex business requirements to technology teams.
• Ability to explain technology fundamentals to business teams.
