IT Asset & License Management Consultant – Infrastructure Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and structure the current software/license inventory data sourced from a basic database

• Develop and oversee a unified inventory of software licenses, subscriptions, and cloud services

• Monitor usage, consumption, ownership, renewal dates, and expenditure patterns

• Identify opportunities for optimization and rationalization across various platforms and tools

• Examine both cloud and on-premise licensing environments for redundancy and underutilization

• Offer recommendations for governance, reporting, and ongoing management strategies

• Suggest a long-term solution/toolset for effective license and subscription management

• Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, procurement, and business stakeholders as necessary

• Clearly present findings and recommendations to leadership and technical teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in IT asset management, software licensing, SaaS management, or infrastructure operations

• General knowledge of cloud platforms and enterprise infrastructure environments

• Strong analytical and organizational capabilities

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work autonomously and engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience in inventory tracking, reporting, or optimization projects
