This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and enhance a contemporary, scalable, and secure research computing framework that caters to the University’s varied and rapidly expanding research community.

• Oversee the comprehensive architecture of compute, storage, networking, platforms, cloud, and software services.

• Convert research proposals and grant specifications into standardized technical solutions, utilizing existing infrastructure and services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

• Extensive experience in systems architecture, enterprise infrastructure, platform design, or similar IT positions.

• Hands-on experience in designing or maintaining CMMC Level 2 (or equivalent NIST 800-171) compliant environments.

• Proficiency with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or comparable regulated cloud platforms.

• Awareness of DoD research funding regulations and secure data management practices.

• Experience in establishing secure research enclaves or regulated computing zones within higher education or federal settings.
