IT Administrator, Infrastructure & Platform Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Strategizing, overseeing, and enhancing the functionality of server, platform, database, and monitoring systems.

• Collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to plan and execute infrastructure and platform projects.

• Formulating technical concepts, assessing new technologies, and establishing architectural and operational standards.

• Accountable for the management of releases, patches, and the lifecycle of central infrastructure systems.

• Conducting testing and quality assurance measures to guarantee stable operations.

• Managing and operating Windows Server platforms.

• Investigating incidents and performance bottlenecks, and developing sustainable optimization strategies.

• Engaging in monitoring, capacity planning, and technical documentation to stabilize and enhance the IT landscape.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in Computer Science or equivalent expertise gained through extensive professional experience.

• Strong knowledge in managing complex IT infrastructures utilizing Windows servers.

• Experience in operating virtualization, storage, or data center environments.

• Familiarity with server hardware, server operating systems, LAN/SAN infrastructures, and central infrastructure components.

• Proficient in German (minimum C1 level).

• Confident in technical English, both spoken and written.

• Experience in patch, release, and lifecycle management of IT systems is advantageous.

• Extensive knowledge of core Microsoft infrastructure services (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Hyper-V, Entra ID/Azure, and Microsoft Identity Manager) is a plus.
