IP Licensing Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate a diverse array of commercial contracts, such as brand licensing agreements, trademark licensing agreements, collaboration and co-branding agreements, sponsorship and endorsement agreements, merchandise and promotional licensing agreements, as well as distribution and commercial contracts.

• Provide guidance to business teams regarding licensing strategies, intellectual property safeguarding, and risk management.

• Assist in building partnerships with prominent consumer brands, entertainment firms, sports entities, athletes, influencers, and celebrities.

• Advise stakeholders on issues related to trademarks, copyrights, branding, marketing, and advertising pertaining to licensed products and campaigns.

• Collaborate closely with marketing, merchandising, product development, legal, and executive teams to support strategic business initiatives.

• Recognize legal and commercial risks while offering practical, business-focused solutions.

• Stay updated on changes in intellectual property, licensing, advertising, and consumer products law.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–15+ years of experience in commercial transactions, intellectual property, or licensing law.

• Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating brand licensing and commercial agreements.

• Experience in supporting partnerships with major consumer brands, entertainment companies, sports organizations, athletes, celebrities, or influencers.

• Strong knowledge of trademark licensing, brand protection, and intellectual property rights.

• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capacity to balance legal risks with practical business goals in a dynamic environment.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active license to practice law.
