IP FinOps Renewals Payment Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the timely planning and execution of all bulk payments directly with PTOs and local suppliers, adhering to the payment order release dates established within the renewal operating system.

• Accountable for the timely planning and execution of all ad hoc payments directly with PTOs and local suppliers, following the payment order release dates set within the renewal operating system.

• Monitor and track all PTO and local supplier payment order confirmations within the designated timelines.

• Responsible for following up with PTOs and local suppliers for any outstanding payment order confirmations within the stipulated timelines.

• Review and verify all confirmed payments and archive the corresponding statements.

• Ensure that “Payment Completion” is recorded for each renewal confirmed according to the established processes.

• Maintain the payment ledger and collaborate with the Finance department.

• Prepare the monthly budget forecast for deposit account top-ups for approval by the Director of Renewals.

• Understand and maintain the payment infrastructure with PTOs.

• Responsible for collecting and uploading Renewal Receipts into the renewal operating system.

• Tasked with identifying and clarifying any payment rejections and discrepancies.

• Collaborate with the Service Account Manager to ensure customers are notified so appropriate actions can be taken.

• Stay informed about official fee changes and renewal regulations.

• Ensure the utmost care when handling client data.

• Perform all other duties necessary to fulfill the role to the highest standard.

• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, taking immediate action by reporting any identified risks to your supervisor.

• Handle all assigned tasks promptly and accurately.

• Understanding of task-tracking and urgency is essential.

• Exceptional project management skills are required.

• Ability to master the renewals processing platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience as an IP renewal payment specialist in the IP industry or a similar role is required.

• A background in finance is advantageous.

• High-level attention to detail and a strong command of numbers and calculations are required.

• Understanding of urgency and escalation procedures is necessary.

• Good communication skills are essential.

• Exceptional time management abilities are required.

• Planning and organizing skills are a must.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
