iOS Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain high-performance native iOS applications utilizing Swift and SwiftUI.

• Incorporate intelligent product functionalities through backend APIs.

• Design user experience patterns for real-time interactions, including streaming states, progress indicators, retries, and failure recovery.

• Analyze and enhance app performance, battery efficiency, and memory management.

• Gather user signals and telemetry to facilitate continuous model evaluation and product enhancement.

• Collaborate with machine learning and backend engineering teams to establish API contracts and system architectures.

• Maintain production quality, release standards, and App Store stability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in iOS development using Swift.

• Hands-on experience in implementing AI-driven or machine learning features in mobile applications.

• In-depth understanding of Swift concurrency (async/await), memory management, and background processing.

• Capability to design resilient client experiences considering network latency, graceful degradation, and dynamic model responses.

• Proven history of launching and supporting consumer-facing production apps in the App Store.

• Familiarity with on-device machine learning frameworks such as CoreML.

• Understanding of feature flagging setups.

• Strong product intuition centered on mobile user experience and client-side reliability.
