This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute and supervise systems analysis, design, and development for applications ranging from basic to complex.
• Act as an individual contributor on intricate projects.
• Maintain a functional understanding of the applications being supported.
• Guide and oversee less experienced team members while coordinating development tasks.
• Prepare and manage the technical aspects of project plans.
• Engage in the systems development process from technical analysis through user acceptance testing.
• Create and assess test data, implement test plans, and finalize debugging processes.
• Analyze interrelationships among programs, interfacing applications, and platforms.
• Offer analytical consulting and leadership in identifying and executing information technology solutions.
• Draft and review both technical and functional specifications as well as systems documentation.
• Generate project assessments, including tasks, timelines, and effort estimates.
• Ensure efficient operation and effectiveness of the applications in support.
• Suggest technologies, policies, and processes, and participate in software evaluations from vendors.
• Advocate for development standards and procedures.
• Comprehend and support business functions, processes, operations, and strategic objectives.
• Assist with expense and capital budgeting as required.
• Comply with risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
• Recognize risk-related issues that need escalation.
• Support diversity and uphold the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain internal control standards and execute audit and regulatory action items.
• Carry out related tasks, including due diligence, cost/benefit analysis, and business studies.
• Operate under the guidance of the Technology Team Lead.
• Engage with senior management, technology personnel, clients, and vendors.
• Provide backup to senior management and act as a technical representative on committees or ad hoc projects.
• A minimum of an Associate's degree and 5 years of experience in systems analysis/application development, or alternatively, a combined minimum of 7 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 5 years in systems analysis/application development.
• Understanding of application development software and hardware platforms.
• Proficient with personal computers, project management software, word processing software, and spreadsheet software.
• Proven experience managing multiple complex projects.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to the target audience.
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
• Background in coordinating between applications and business units.
• Experience in recommending and implementing systems solutions.
• Proven track record in driving project milestones and delivery timelines.
• Must possess iOS app development experience.
• Familiarity with SWIFT UI.
• W2 only.
• Must be available for an initial 3-month engagement.
