Investor Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Perform reconciliation of GSE Custodial P&I and T&I accounts.

• Prepare reconciliations for general ledger and bank accounts, ensuring balancing, research, and prompt resolution of any discrepancies.

• Investigate, address, and resolve GSE exceptions, including both hard and soft reject findings.

• Ensure compliance with investor reporting standards, accounting principles, and company protocols.

• Assist with audit requests by collecting, verifying, and supplying necessary documentation for GSE and other investor audits, both internal and external.

• Oversee P&I Custodial accounts to guarantee accurate processing of monthly advances, recoupments, and investor remittances.

• Accurately and promptly report payoffs, loan modifications, and corrections to GSEs.

• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments within the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in investor accounting.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience.

• Strong organizational abilities to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and deadline-oriented environment.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in a professional context.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, including skills in pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
