Investment Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Supervise the comprehensive processing of securities transactions and settlements.

• Guarantee precise booking and accounting of transactions within client portfolios.

• Assess and prioritize operations based on risk factors, deadlines, transaction values, and client impacts.

• Conduct trade matching and reconcile transactions with counterparties and custodians.

• Oversee settlement instructions and follow up on outstanding transactions to ensure prompt execution.

• Monitor cash and securities positions, investigate discrepancies, and resolve any outstanding issues.

• Ensure operational controls are implemented effectively, with adequate documentation and readiness for audits.

• Collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders to address issues and mitigate operational risks.

• Participate in process enhancements, system upgrades, and efficiency initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in securities operations, settlements, asset servicing, or transaction processing within a banking or financial services setting.

• Strong knowledge of financial markets, securities products, and post-trade processes.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a strong emphasis on risk and control.

• Ability to effectively manage priorities while maintaining high accuracy levels.

• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.

• A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
