• Oversee investments for the current year, encompassing Capital, New Business Investment (NBI), Independent Research and Development (IRAD), Overhead, Inventory, and Contract Financing Requests (CFR).
• Perform analyses on burn rates, collaborating with functional teams to track performance and facilitate the execution of quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC) processes.
• Prepare and deliver quarterly investment reviews while developing ad hoc financial analyses and reports for leadership.
• Act as the main contact for Appropriation Requests for Inventory (ARI), ensuring adherence to company policies and optimizing related processes.
• Spearhead the Long-Range Plan (LRP) process, which includes creating the planning calendar, coordinating across functions, and conducting risk and opportunity (R&O) analysis.
• Offer financial assistance to Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) functional leadership, which includes Research & Development (R&D), Technical Director, and Strategy teams.
• Manage and refresh the MSP Pool while executing balance sheet analyses, focusing on unbilled receivables, billed Construction in Progress (CIP), and inventory.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering knowledge sharing and contributing to the overall development of the finance organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of pertinent experience, or an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or MBA) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in one or more of the following areas: Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Program Controls (Cost and/or Schedule), or the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process.
• Familiarity with SAP business systems, including Business Warehouse (BW) toolsets, or comparable enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
• Experience in organizing, preparing, and/or presenting briefings to management or senior leadership.
