Investment Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversees daily investment projects and manages data requests from advisors and various departments.

• Conducts research initiatives on new managers and processes.

• Revises capital market assumptions on an annual basis.

• Participates in all Investment Committee meetings and records follow-up actions.

• Collaborates with current public and private market managers to gather quarterly and annual updates.

• Collects annual due diligence questionnaires from existing managers.

• Inputs and monitors model portfolios within the data and analytics system.

• Regularly prepares updates and commentary regarding impact and performance for advisors.

• Tracks quarterly performance of underlying investments and reports findings to the Chief Investment Officer and Investment Committee.

• Actively collaborates with the marketing team to fulfill investment data requests.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment research, portfolio management, or trading.

• Relevant background in investment research or a closely related field.

• Strong quantitative skills in financial modeling.

• Comprehensive understanding of financial economics, including the Efficient Market Hypothesis, Fama-French model, and significant ESG risk factors.

• Familiarity with IMP, SDGs, ISS vs. Glass Lewis, and SASB materiality.

• Basic knowledge of the ESG and impact investing sectors.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and clearly.

• Comfortable presenting portfolio recommendations to the leadership team.

• A proactive and self-motivated individual.

• Proficiency in using Excel for project management and problem analysis.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences or office meetings.

• Possession of a designation, certification, or degree (or progress toward one) such as Series 65, CFP, CFA, or MBA is advantageous.
