This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +1 more country.
• Oversee the entire process of clinical site payment administration, from protocol schedules and site budgets to startup and EDC-driven visit payments.
• Strategically plan payment activities and configure systems to ensure timely milestone payments during startup.
• Evaluate EDC design and data collection to facilitate accurate budget mapping and payment triggers.
• Address payment failures and resolve escalations related to site and study-level payments.
• Offer expertise on Site Contracts and Budgets configuration to ensure alignment with contractual agreements.
• Monitor vendor compliance with investigator payment processes and standards.
• Manage complex technology and process challenges involving site relationships, budgets, contracts, regulatory requirements, language, tax, and currency issues.
• Analyze payment performance, identify underlying issues, and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure that purchase orders, funding, contracts, and work orders are established for approved site payments.
• Assist in study-specific audit activities related to investigator payments.
• At least 2 years of experience in clinical contracts/budget administration, accounting/finance, or clinical project/operations.
• Familiarity with clinical operations, protocols, site budgets, EDC data, and related systems is advantageous.
• Experience with industry payment processing software and the development of business requirements is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
• Sound business judgment and comprehension of site payments alongside regional/country-specific considerations.
• Understanding of clinical site and vendor budgets as well as payment terms.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with clinical operations, business technology, legal, finance, tax, and other departments.
• Demonstrated capability to complete assignments, tasks, and projects with minimal supervision and provide critical recommendations.
• Ability to work autonomously within a team-oriented setting.
• Exceptional administrative, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to collaborate across teams and cultures in various locations and adaptable situations.
• Experience with a clinical research organization or sponsor is preferred.
• Knowledge of local tax and payment regulations is beneficial.
• Experience in handling cross-border financial transactions is a plus.
