This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of clinical site payment management from the initiation of the study to its conclusion.
• Lead the organization of payment activities and ensure that systems are set up correctly.
• Evaluate EDC design and data collection methods for precise budget mapping and timely payment initiation.
• Address payment issues and spearhead resolution efforts.
• Review and advise on site contract and budget setup within payment systems.
• Manage vendors for payment approvals, invoice processing, and query resolution.
• Address complex technological and procedural challenges involving site relationships, budgets, contracts, regulatory requirements, languages, taxes, and currencies.
• Analyze study payment performance, identify underlying issues, and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure that purchase orders are current and sufficient funding is accessible.
• Assist with study-specific audits of investigator payments.
• Resolve escalations related to site and study payments.
• Ensure that contracts, work orders, and funding facilitate effective site payment execution.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• A minimum of two years of experience in clinical contracts and budget management, accounting, finance, clinical project management, clinical operations, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with clinical operations, clinical protocols, and site budgets.
• Understanding of clinical site and vendor budgets along with payment terms.
• Experience in clinical research, clinical operations, finance, accounting, contracts administration, or similar regulated environments.
• Strong skills in project coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams, cultures, and locations while managing competing priorities.
• Strong business acumen and meticulous attention to detail.
• Comfort working with payment systems, EDC data, contracts, budgets, and process-oriented workflows.
• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to work effectively across various functions with clinical operations, business technology, legal, finance, tax, and other departments.
• Ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal oversight and provide informed recommendations for investigator payments.
• Ability to operate independently in a cooperative, team-focused environment.
• Preferred: familiarity with EDC data and systems, industry payment-processing software, environments involving CRO or sponsors, local tax and payment regulations, and international financial transactions.
