This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +2 more countries.
• Develop, enhance, monitor, and maintain forecasting processes for investigator grants by study, country, site, and milestone/event.
• Convert protocol assumptions and operational strategies into payment and cash flow forecasts.
• Reconcile forecasts with actual results in collaboration with Clinical Operations, clarify discrepancies, and regularly update assumptions.
• Monitor and evaluate payment drivers to pinpoint risks and opportunities in forecasting.
• Support standardized forecasting methodologies, templates, and controls across various studies.
• Ensure alignment of forecasting outputs with accruals, purchase-order coverage, payment timelines, and month-end closing requirements.
• Produce executive-ready dashboards and reports that showcase burn rate, run rate, and forecast sensitivities.
• Participate in scenario planning and assess financial impacts.
• Maintain documentation and data traceability for internal controls, audits, and readiness for inspections.
• Identify and implement automation and process improvement opportunities in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Assist in technology assessments and requirements to establish a sustainable investigator grant forecasting capability.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Study Start-Up, R&D Finance, Budgeting, Contracts, CRO finance teams, and investigator payment vendors.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Life Sciences, Statistics, or a related field.
• Over 3 years of experience in clinical trial finance, forecasting, budgeting, grants/payments, or CRO financial management.
• Proficient in building forecasts that connect operational assumptions with financial outcomes.
• Strong Excel skills, including scenario modeling capabilities.
• Comfortable working with extensive, multi-study datasets.
• Excellent communication skills for aligning cross-functional stakeholders on assumptions, risks, and updates.
• Detail-oriented, deadline-focused, and capable of managing multiple studies and priorities concurrently.
• Strong project management abilities.
• Preferred experience with clinical payment/grant systems and/or clinical finance tools.
• Preferred experience collaborating with CROs on investigator grant processes and forecast updates.
• Preferred familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Preferred understanding of investigator grant contract structures and common payment terms.
• Preferred knowledge of accrual concepts and monthly close processes in a regulated environment.
