This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +1 more state.
• Oversee the entire process of clinical site payment administration, from protocol schedules and site budgets to startup and study-close payments.
• Guide the planning of payment activities to ensure timely milestone payments during the startup phase.
• Evaluate EDC design and data collection to facilitate accurate budget mapping and payment triggers.
• Address payment failures and manage escalations related to site and study-level payments.
• Assist in configuring site contracts and budgets within the payments system.
• Monitor vendors’ compliance with investigator payment processes and standards.
• Analyze study payment performance, identify underlying issues, and implement corrective measures.
• Confirm that purchase orders, contracts, work orders, and funding are current and sufficient.
• Support investigator payment audits specific to studies when necessary.
• Collaborate with clinical operations, business technology, legal, finance, tax, and other departments.
• No experience required, though a background in clinical contracts/budget administration, accounting/finance, and/or clinical project/operations is beneficial.
• Familiarity with clinical operations, protocols, and site budgets is essential.
• Experience with EDC data and systems is advantageous.
• Experience with industry payment processing software and the development of business requirements is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound business judgment and knowledge of site payments, including regional and country-specific factors.
• Comprehension of clinical site and vendor budgets, as well as payment terms.
• Capability to collaborate across various functions, including clinical operations, business technology, legal, finance, tax, and others.
• Ability to carry out tasks and projects with minimal supervision and provide critical recommendations regarding investigator payments.
• Competence to work independently within a team-oriented setting.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and cultures in diverse geographical locations.
• Previous experience with a clinical research organization or sponsor is preferred.
• Knowledge of local tax and payment regulations is a plus.
• Experience with cross-border financial transactions is advantageous.
