Interpreters OPI and VRI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ghana, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you interpret, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Deliver all messages accurately and comprehensively, without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the interpretation process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by offering precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Uphold standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language Maay.

• At least 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
