Interpreter – Khmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Facilitate language interpretation between individuals facing language barriers to enable effective communication and understanding.

• Manage telephone or video calls as needed, providing consecutive interpretation for English speakers during their conversations.

• Process information swiftly and accurately, acknowledging sensitive cultural nuances while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.

• Employ relevant industry terminology and possess a solid understanding of common industry procedures and practices.

• Interpret conversations on topics related to Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.

• Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking abilities to ensure a high degree of accuracy.

• Capacity to focus, remain detached from discussions, and consistently uphold neutrality and objectivity.

• Ability to swiftly establish personal credibility.

• Competence in closely following client instructions.

• Skill in clarifying certain cultural concepts to prevent miscommunication, with the client's permission or upon request.

• B2 CEFR English Level proficiency, along with bilingual capabilities in the required languages.

• Must be able to work from home on a permanent basis.
