Interpreter – English/Japanese, Remote Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Provide interpretation services via telephone and video in both English and Japanese.

• Facilitate communication for individuals who need language support.

• Ensure reliable, unbiased, empathetic, courteous, accurate, and professional interpretation.

• Carry out onboarding evaluations, which include an English proficiency test, a mock interpretation session, and an assessment of medical terminology.

• Undergo a background check and security screening.

• Sign an Independent Contractor Agreement alongside a confidentiality commitment, ensuring HIPAA compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both English and Japanese.

• Commitment to providing courteous, accurate, and professional interpretation services.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• English proficiency at ILR level 3 or above, as verified by a technical proficiency examination.

• Successful completion of a live mock interpretation assessment.

• Achieve a passing score on a medical terminology evaluation that encompasses medical terms, anatomy, and physiology.

• Successful completion of a background check and security screening.

• Capability to sign an Independent Contractor Agreement and confidentiality commitment, ensuring HIPAA compliance.

• Submission of a resume.

• Relevant certifications that demonstrate skills or experience, if available.
