International Tax Supervisor, Canada

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and evaluate international tax compliance assignments for U.S.-based clients with overseas operations.

• Examine U.S. international information returns, such as Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, along with other international reporting mandates.

• Investigate and interpret international tax matters related to cross-border dealings, foreign entities, tax treaties, and global business frameworks.

• Align U.S. tax obligations with tax considerations from foreign jurisdictions.

• Assist clients with international tax planning and advisory projects.

• Review contributions made by Associates and Seniors, offering technical advice and mentorship.

• Handle multiple projects, budgets, and timelines while ensuring high-quality service to clients.

• Cultivate and sustain strong client relationships by acting as a reliable point of contact.

• Remain updated on changes in U.S. international tax laws and regulations.

• Work collaboratively with team members across the United States and globally to provide comprehensive client solutions.

• Contribute to business development efforts and aid in the expansion of the International Tax practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA, Canadian CPA, EA, or progress towards a professional certification is preferred.

• Over 5 years of public accounting tax experience, particularly in international taxation.

• Experience working with U.S.-based clients engaging in cross-border operations.

• Strong expertise in U.S. international tax compliance and reporting.

• Proficient in preparing and/or reviewing Forms 5471, 8858, and 8865.

• Understanding of multinational corporate structures and U.S. international tax principles.

• Experience with foreign entities, cross-border transactions, and international reporting obligations.

• Exceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines while delivering outstanding client service.
