International Operations Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Establish New Markets (Starting from Scratch)

• Travel to various countries (USA, Brazil, Turkey, France) to assist Management and local teams in launching operations from the ground up

• Collaborate with local consultants (legal, tax, audit) to ensure swift progress

• Manage Finance & Compliance (Practical Application, Not Just Theory)

• Develop fundamental accounting and reporting systems in each country

• Ensure all filings, taxes, and compliance are maintained without issues

• Coordinate with external accountants - while you don’t need to be a CA, a solid understanding of the system is essential

• Anticipate potential challenges and establish processes and workflows to minimize financial and compliance risks.

• Establish Systems (ERP + Transparency)

• Assist in the implementation and management of agile and scalable ERP systems

• Ensure visibility of inventory, orders, and financials across markets

• Create straightforward dashboards: clarity over perfection

• Build Supply Chain Operations

• Identify and onboard warehouses, 3PL partners, and customs brokers

• Set up import/export processes, documentation, and partnerships

• Address real challenges: delays, customs complications, damaged shipments, etc.

• Operational Effectiveness (Daily Operations)

• Develop simple SOPs where necessary - avoid overcomplication

• Engage in issues across sales, procurement, regulatory, logistics, and finance; this role is cross-functional and requires collaboration with numerous global team members.

• Be the quick problem-solver, adaptable to on-ground realities, and capable of identifying items that require escalation. You will work with local teams across various regions and will need effective communication skills and empathy to collaboratively resolve issues.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a prestigious institution in the US, Europe, or India (Globally)

• 2-3 years of experience in operations, consulting, finance, or supply chain

• A proactive individual who is eager to build and solve rather than just manage

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and chaos while independently finding solutions

• Willingness to travel frequently (50%), often on short notice, and engage hands-on at local sites.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach

• Interest in working across diverse cultures

• High emotional intelligence, capable of navigating different cultures, working styles, and business environments with empathy and respect

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• A significant advantage if you have experience in a startup or a rapidly growing international setting
