Internal Medicine Physician – Virtual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Become a Virtual Primary Care Physician at Aurora Health Care, part of Advocate Health.

• This position is a 1.0 FTE virtual primary care role, consisting of 36 patient contact hours and 4 hours dedicated to administrative tasks.

• Enjoy a four-day workweek from 1pm to 11pm.

• Participate in a weekend rotation of 1:14 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).

• Provide call coverage on a 1:14 basis (from Monday at 11pm to the following Monday at 8am; call volume is minimal).

• Receive clinical support through virtual medical assistants and nurse triage.

• Patients will have the ability to schedule appointments directly with their virtual primary care physician, maintaining the trusted physician-patient relationship typical of traditional practices.

• The physician will serve virtual patients located in Wisconsin and Illinois.

• This is an employed position that comes with a comprehensive benefits package, fully funded malpractice insurance, and a CME allowance.

• Utilize access to DAX Copilot, an AI-driven clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board certification is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of practice experience is necessary.

• Must demonstrate collaboration with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

• Although the position is remote, the physician must reside in one of the following states: AL, AK, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, LA, KS, KY, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, WY.
