Internal Medicine Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide peer-to-peer medical consultations to veterinary clients with professionalism, empathy, and warmth—offering expert guidance on interpreting laboratory results, selecting tests, and managing cases.

• Continuously develop and maintain an extensive understanding of all services and offerings, including proprietary tests and in-house diagnostic tools.

• Build and nurture collegial relationships with clients throughout the consultation process.

• Actively contribute to a positive team culture by supporting colleagues, sharing clinical knowledge, and engaging in the creation of internal educational materials and resources.

• Assist with consultation services and collaborate with other departments as necessary.

• Participate in consultant meetings and ongoing education seminars.

• Although not a primary responsibility, there may be opportunities to engage in special projects or to assist in the development or delivery of client support materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent with an active license in your state or province of residence.

• Completed residency training and board certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM or EVCIM).

• At least 5 years of clinical experience following board certification.

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is an advantage.

• Bilingualism, particularly fluency in French (spoken and written), is an asset.
