Internal Communications Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Establish robust relationships with HR teams to become a trusted advisor.

• Design and implement strategic, audience-centric communication plans.

• Generate and present content across various platforms including intranet stories, emails, videos, talking points, digital signage, and social media.

• Assist leaders in communicating clearly, authentically, and effectively.

• Discover and share narratives that enhance TransUnion’s culture and highlight it as an exceptional workplace.

• Utilize performance metrics and feedback to enhance reach and effectiveness.

• Develop AI-driven solutions to automate tasks, simplify basic communication needs, provide DIY options, and support strategy and innovation.

• Assist the team in evolving, innovating, and raising performance standards.

• Collaborate with HR leaders to communicate HR strategy, programs, and priorities with clarity, relevance, and impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, journalism, or a related discipline.

• Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.

• Capability to articulate complex topics in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.

• Audience-focused communication skills that demonstrate empathy and personality.

• Proficiency in designing and executing effective tactical plans while maintaining an overarching perspective.

• Curiosity, creativity, and familiarity with emerging technologies, including AI.

• Strong ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly build trust.

• Capacity to collaborate across diverse cultures and time zones.

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a closely related field.

• Experience in HR or employer branding is an advantage.

• Background in global or multicultural organizations is a plus.

• Familiarity with Workvivo or similar employee communication platforms is a bonus.

• Must be able to work from a fibre-ready home environment in South Africa.

• Minimum 100/100 Mbps fibre connection installed or upgraded by the first day of employment.

• Working from outside South Africa is not allowed.

• Certain positions may necessitate a clear credit record.
