This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Design and implement strategic communication initiatives for GCTO’s global workforce exceeding 10,000 employees
• Act as a strategic communications advisor and collaborator for GCTO leadership and the Senior Vice President
• Create and execute communication, engagement, and change-management strategies on an enterprise-wide scale
• Establish and maintain GCTO’s communication framework, toolkit, channels, and ensure branding consistency
• Organize and facilitate significant GCTO events, town halls, leadership messages, and large meetings
• Write and enhance executive communications, internal messages, presentation materials, and narratives
• Spearhead employee engagement initiatives such as surveys, listening strategies, and action planning
• Evaluate feedback, campaign, and channel data, transforming insights into actionable recommendations
• Assess communication and engagement effectiveness and propose enhancements
• Collaborate with leadership, project management offices, GCD, and interdisciplinary teams on special projects
• Oversee vendor relationships and manage deliverables
• Facilitate change initiatives by aligning training, communications, and leadership messages
• Simplify complex scientific, technical, and business concepts into accessible narratives for stakeholder audiences
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, clinical trial operations, operations, or a related field; OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• A minimum of 3 years managing communication planning in a global, matrixed organization
• Proficient in translating technical and scientific subjects into clear narratives
• Advanced skills in SharePoint Online administration and page design
• Experience managing content hubs along with basic HTML and UX knowledge
• Familiarity with enterprise communication tools, including email/newsletter platforms, survey tools, and asset libraries
• Proven experience in creating and managing templates
• Capability to interpret campaign and channel analytics and compile metrics into straightforward dashboards
• Understanding of internal communication controls, including privacy, accessibility, records retention, and brand/tone standards
• Experience in applying project management tools and methodologies
• Advanced knowledge of responsible AI usage in communications with human oversight
• Proficient with enterprise-approved digital, data, and AI tools
• Must achieve GCTO Elevate – Beginner certification within the initial 6 months and progress annually to the appropriate tier for the role
• Outstanding communication abilities across executive, organizational, geographic, and functional stakeholders
• Experience in coordinating and coaching content creators for clarity, quality, tone, and compliance
• Proven ability to coordinate teams, collaborate across the organization, guide decision-making, and deliver results without positional or program authority
