Intern, System Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Participate in ongoing technical projects related to optical architecture. For instance:

• Developing prototype software solutions for the control and simulation of optical networks within photonic quantum computers.

• Utilizing insights from quantum information theory, network design, and/or optimization to enhance optical architecture designs.

• Innovating and exploring new methodologies for photonic quantum computing.

• Simulating and evaluating various protocols.

• Documenting and sharing findings effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a postgraduate degree (PhD is preferred).

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Julia, or similar.

• Familiarity with collaborative software development tools (e.g., GitHub) is advantageous.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with team members.

• Preferred: understanding of quantum optics, photonic hardware, switch network design, optimization, and graph theory.
