This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
β’ Participate in ongoing technical projects related to optical architecture. For instance:
β’ Developing prototype software solutions for the control and simulation of optical networks within photonic quantum computers.
β’ Utilizing insights from quantum information theory, network design, and/or optimization to enhance optical architecture designs.
β’ Innovating and exploring new methodologies for photonic quantum computing.
β’ Simulating and evaluating various protocols.
β’ Documenting and sharing findings effectively.
β’ A degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
β’ Currently enrolled in or recently completed a postgraduate degree (PhD is preferred).
β’ Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Julia, or similar.
β’ Familiarity with collaborative software development tools (e.g., GitHub) is advantageous.
β’ Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with team members.
β’ Preferred: understanding of quantum optics, photonic hardware, switch network design, optimization, and graph theory.
β’ Compensation varies depending on the location of permanent residency.
