Intern – Generative AI Research Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conducts both primary and secondary research on advanced and emerging healthcare informatics technologies, emphasizing Generative AI and the latest Artificial General Intelligence technologies for applications in healthcare treatment, payment, and operations.

• Develops research papers, analytical reports, proposals, and educational materials.

• Maintains a comprehensive understanding of technology trends and possesses hands-on experience with pertinent technologies.

• Creates generative AI models, architectures, databases, and systems aimed at enhancing healthcare solutions.

• Aids in the development and refinement of LLMs and ML tools utilized throughout the organization.

• Communicates updates and requirements related to technology to other departments and contributes to presentations for senior management.

• Collaborates with research and development teams, product management, and strategic analysts to support ongoing initiatives.

• Partners with Business Units to deliver reliable intelligence, validated technology options, and insights regarding enterprise and industry trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an advanced degree program in healthcare, technology, or a related discipline (e.g., Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science), with a preference for a PhD.

• Proven interest or experience in AI, healthcare technology, or informatics research.

• Strong foundational knowledge in the development of generative AI models, architectures, and vector databases.

• Hands-on experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning models.

• Experience with LLM/RAG models and fine-tuning LLMs is an advantage.

• Practical experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure), large datasets, and constructing data pipelines for ML solutions.

• Familiarity with vector embeddings and databases is a plus.

• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
