This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design and enhance the foundational algorithms that drive consumer products.
• Collaborate with an energetic team at Geomagical Labs, a 3D research and development laboratory in partnership with IKEA.
• Craft enchanting mixed-reality experiences utilizing computer vision, neural networks, graphics, and computational photography.
• Play a key role in the introduction of technologies that engage millions of consumers.
• Ph.D. with over 3 years of experience, or a Master's degree with more than 6 years of experience, specializing in 3D Computer Vision and Deep Learning.
• Proven experience in constructing Deep Learning models for 3D Vision applications, such as Depth Estimation, Room Layout Estimation, Inverse Rendering, Pose Estimation, or 3D Scene Understanding.
• Knowledge of contemporary techniques for Novel View synthesis, including NeRFs/Gaussian Splats and Diffusion models.
• Understanding of traditional methods for 3D Reconstruction, such as SfM/SLAM, Multi-view Stereo, and RGB-D Fusion.
• Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and libraries, particularly PyTorch.
• Highly efficient in Python, with the capability to design and implement intricate systems at both micro and macro levels.
• Experience in developing technologies that have been integrated into products, along with tracking performance and enhancing post-launch metrics.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: Adventurous, self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and eager to ensure systems function seamlessly from start to finish.
• Innovative, with a history of patents and/or first-authored publications in prestigious workshops or conferences like CVPR, ECCV/ICCV, SIGGRAPH, ISMAR, NeurIPS, etc.
• [Bonus] Understanding of Computer Graphics and Computational Photography.
• [Bonus] Familiarity with C++.
