Intern – AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The AI Engineer Intern is responsible for researching and advancing healthcare informatics, with a particular focus on the development of emerging Artificial General Intelligence.

• Assist in various projects to establish foundational architecture, including the context layer for data agents, and implement governance and guardrails.

• Relay updates and requirements related to technology to different departments and contribute to presentations for senior leadership.

• Work in collaboration with research and development teams, product management, and strategic analysts to facilitate ongoing projects.

• Collaborate with Business Units to deliver reliable intelligence, validated technological solutions, and insights into enterprise and industry trends.

• Aid technology project teams by coordinating specific tasks, supporting daily operations, and ensuring the successful implementation of solutions.

• Fulfill all responsibilities and objectives outlined in the internship program, including completing special projects and other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with an advanced degree in healthcare, technology, or a related discipline (e.g., Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science), preferably holding a PhD.

• Proven interest or experience in AI, healthcare technology, or informatics research.

• Strong foundational knowledge in the development of generative AI models, architectures, and vector databases.

• Practical experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning models.

• Familiarity with LLM/RAG models and LLM fine-tuning is an advantage.

• Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure), extensive data sets, and constructing data pipelines for ML solutions.

• Experience with vector embeddings and databases is a bonus.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
