This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Creating AI-driven internal tools and data-centric systems utilized throughout the organization, including analytics platforms, reporting automation, and workflow intelligence.

• Designing and implementing AI/ML-powered platforms that analyze and process extensive operational data from over 30 million sites within our product range.

• Crafting and launching RAG systems, LLM-enhanced features, and agentic workflows that provide actionable insights for internal teams.

• Developing data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver behavioral and operational data at scale.

• Prototyping and deploying AI solutions that optimize internal processes, lessen manual tasks, and enhance decision-making.

• Assessing and choosing the appropriate models, frameworks, and infrastructure for each application, balancing performance, cost, and latency.

• Writing clean, well-tested, production-quality Python code with effective error handling, logging, and observability.

• Collaborating with product teams and stakeholders to identify their needs and building tools that they will actively use.

• Staying updated with the fast-evolving AI landscape and introducing new ideas, tools, and methodologies to the team.

• Engaging with the team and assisting your colleagues through chat, audio, and video communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in building AI/ML systems in production settings (beyond just POCs or hackathons).

• Strong expertise in Python, encompassing production-grade practices such as proper packaging, testing, type hints, and async where applicable.

• Direct experience with LLM frameworks and tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar, with the ability to construct a RAG pipeline from the ground up.

• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB, FAISS, Qdrant, or similar) and embedding models.

• Comprehensive understanding of ML fundamentals—not merely API calls but knowledge of model functioning, fine-tuning versus prompt engineering, and proper evaluation techniques.

• Experience in building and deploying APIs (FastAPI, Flask, or similar) that serve ML models in production.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Proficient in large-scale data processing—using SQL, pandas, Spark, or similar tools.

• Competent with version control using Git and GitHub, maintaining a clean commit history, proper branching, and conducting code reviews through pull requests.

• Ability to rapidly iterate and deliver ideas without compromising on code quality.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities—capable of diagnosing issues when something malfunctions in a large-scale production environment.

• Capacity to maintain simplicity in complex systems, as simplicity is a core value.

• Previous experience working remotely, demonstrating effective time management, proactive communication, and the ability to remain productive without supervision.

• Personal computer with dependable internet access.

• Willingness to attend audio/video meetings and be accessible on Slack between 9 AM - 1 PM EST daily.

• Bonus points if you also possess:

• Experience in model fine-tuning (PEFT, LoRA, QLoRA) and quantization techniques for cost efficiency.

• Experience in creating multi-agent systems using CrewAI, LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar frameworks.

• Familiarity with MLOps practices—including model versioning, drift monitoring, and experiment tracking (MLflow, Weights & Biases, etc.).

• Experience with Databricks, AWS SageMaker, or equivalent ML platforms.

• Published research, open-source contributions, or technical writing that showcases a deep understanding of the field.

• Familiarity with the WordPress ecosystem, PHP, or SaaS product development, with a valuable context of understanding the end user (small business owners, bloggers, e-commerce operators).

• Experience in building internal tools and data platforms that non-technical teams use daily.

• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol), function calling, structured output, or similar LLM integration patterns.
