This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop the customer-facing AI interface for Stratus — the production agent systems, tool integrations, and evaluation infrastructure that enable our products to analyze MEP fabrication data and act on behalf of contractors.
• Design and implement multi-agent workflows, create the tool and context layer that links agents to Stratus data, and oversee the guardrails, evaluations, and observability that ensure these systems are secure and reliable for customers.
• Create and sustain the Revit-side integrations that support the AI layer — the add-ins and publishing pathways that transfer design and fabrication data from our clients' Autodesk Revit environment into Stratus.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) as an integral part of the development process — writing tests for AI-generated modifications and exercising sound judgment regarding the readiness of AI output for deployment.
• Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and customer-facing teams to define, design, and deliver solutions — grounding technical choices in actual design and fabrication workflows.
• Participate in agile workflows, maintaining flexibility and responsiveness to changing project requirements.
• Share expertise and elevate the engineering standards through code reviews and practical best practices.
• Over 6 years of software engineering experience, with a successful history of delivering and managing production-grade systems — not merely prototypes or notebooks.
• Practical experience in building and maintaining customer-facing agentic systems in production — including orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen), tool invocation, structured outputs, and evaluation frameworks.
• Familiarity with evaluations, guardrails, and observability for LLM or agent systems.
• Direct production experience in creating Revit add-ins and navigating the nuances of the Revit API — understanding the document and transaction lifecycle, external events, threading models, version compatibility, and performance within large models.
• Strong command of C#/.NET, with proven production ownership of significant features.
• Experience with MCP or comparable tool-integration protocols.
• Solid foundation in computer science principles (data structures, algorithms, system design) and substantial depth in API/backend engineering.
• Regular use of AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or equivalent) as a key component of your daily workflow, with sound judgment on when AI output is ready for release, needs revisions, or should be discarded.
• Exceptional communication abilities — capable of clearly articulating complex AI systems to teammates, product partners, and customers.
• Comfort in navigating newly forming, ambiguous areas where learning and adaptability are essential.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comprehensive and competitive health benefits plan
• Matching 401k contributions
• 20 days annual PTO
• Primarily remote work with occasional annual team onsites.
