Intermediate DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and manage scalable and dependable infrastructure utilizing automation tools and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

• Develop and enhance efficient CI/CD pipelines for seamless, high-confidence releases.

• Monitor, assess, and optimize system performance, availability, reliability, and security.

• Proactively identify and address potential issues before they affect users.

• Engage in incident response efforts and training.

• Quickly resolve incidents and perform post-mortem root-cause analysis.

• Establish and uphold SLAs for availability, performance, and security.

• Predict capacity needs and scale infrastructure to accommodate increasing demand.

• Enhance resource utilization and cost efficiency.

• Apply security best practices and compliance standards.

• Promote continuous improvement through the adoption of new technologies and processes.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, and other cross-functional teams to address scalability challenges and development lifecycle hurdles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• 4–6+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or a comparable position.

• Strong skills in scripting and programming.

• Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS.

• Practical experience with Terraform/OpenTofu for infrastructure provisioning and management.

• Experience working in both Windows and Linux environments.

• Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization and orchestration technologies.

• Familiarity with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or related monitoring and observability tools.

• Candidate must be based in Canada.

• Preference for candidates legally authorized to work in Canada.
