Interim Finance Business Partner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a new financial operational framework for SEND Reform.

• Create and uphold strong financial governance, controls, and reporting mechanisms.

• Work collaboratively with finance teams to ensure alignment with Department for Education standards.

• Oversee financial planning efforts, including budget formulation, monitoring, and forecasting.

• Manage the financial components of the Experts at Hand Grant Funding and Deficit Management Plan Budgets.

• Offer financial support, constructive challenge, and advice to programme leads and senior management.

• Perform financial modeling and options evaluations to determine the sustainability of SEND Reform proposals.

• Generate timely and precise financial reports for a variety of boards and meetings.

• Assist in the review and enhancement of SEND funding policies and frameworks.

• Contribute to the long-term sustainability planning for SEND services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).

• Extensive experience in Local Government Finance.

• Background in SEND Finance, Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG), High Needs Block, or Education Finance.

• Demonstrated success in supporting SEND Reform or Deficit Recovery Programmes.

• Strong capabilities in financial modeling, forecasting, and developing governance frameworks.

• Experience in creating reports for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

• Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Basic DBS check required.
