This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Detect and monitor cyber threats, trends, and emerging developments from targeted intrusion cyber threat actors through the analysis of raw data, previous intelligence, and extensive datasets.
• Convey these insights to CrowdStrike Intelligence clients through comprehensive intelligence reports.
• Integrate malware reverse engineering and geopolitical intelligence to develop a comprehensive understanding of targeted intrusion adversaries.
• Identify and monitor adversarial infrastructure utilizing both open-source and proprietary tools.
• Gather and compile information on adversaries’ tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Employ analytical tradecraft to the collected information to generate finished intelligence with varying degrees of urgency and detail.
• Collaborate across teams to keep various functions within CrowdStrike Intelligence informed about significant activities and to synchronize adversary/campaign monitoring.
• Prioritize, classify, and address requests for information from both internal and external clients.
• Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least two years at a four-year university by the start of the internship, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree and set to graduate in 2028.
• Practical understanding of research/collection tradecraft and analytical techniques, including regular engagement with common research-related platforms (e.g., malware repositories, network infrastructure tracking services, webpage scanners, malware sandboxes, etc.).
• Interest in identifying and monitoring adversary tradecraft.
• Capability to produce high-quality reports of varying lengths within tight deadlines, while also maintaining ongoing analysis and reporting for long-term strategic evaluations.
• Working knowledge of network principles and relevant technical terminology.
• Ability or eagerness to learn how to conduct basic technical analysis of the tools and tradecraft employed by threat actors.
• Strong understanding of the targeted intrusion threat landscape.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to thrive in a remote-first environment.
