Integrations Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical resource for customer integration projects.

• Collaborate with customer IT, engineering, and security teams to grasp technical requirements and business goals.

• Create scalable integration solutions using REST APIs, webhooks, MQTT, event-driven architectures, and contemporary data exchange methods.

• Assist customers throughout the implementation process by offering consultative recommendations and managing technical trade-offs.

• Lead integration projects from initial discovery to successful production deployment.

• Develop reusable integration frameworks, reference architectures, and sample applications.

• Design and maintain connectors, SDK examples, APIs, and associated integration tools.

• Establish secure authentication and authorization workflows, including enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO).

• Facilitate integrations with ERP, CMMS, MES, IoT, analytics, and enterprise business platforms.

• Work alongside Engineering to enhance the Waites API platform and integration capabilities.

• Provide implementation support during onboarding and deployment phases.

• Conduct regular technical check-ins with customers during active integration projects.

• Tackle complex customer issues using a consultative, solution-oriented approach.

• Ensure an outstanding customer experience at every interaction.

• Create customer-facing integration documentation, implementation guides, and technical best practices.

• Develop reusable templates and reference implementations to expedite future deployments.

• Contribute to long-term integration standards and product enablement resources.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Customer Success teams to enhance the customer experience.

• Relay customer feedback to influence API improvements and future product features.

• Aid in establishing scalable integration standards, security best practices, and architectural guidelines.

• Assist in prioritizing initiatives on the integration roadmap.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as required to meet business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, developing, or supporting enterprise software integrations.

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, and event-driven architectures.

• Familiarity with JSON and modern API technologies.

• Professional development experience in JavaScript and Python.

• Experience with implementing or supporting SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or similar SSO technologies.

• Understanding of secure, multi-tenant application architectures.

• Ability to produce production-quality code, prototypes, and integration tools.

• Excellent skills in troubleshooting, solution design, and analytical problem-solving, with a passion for addressing complex technical challenges.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in a technical consulting, solutions engineering, or implementation role directly with customers.

• Demonstrated capability to take ownership, navigate ambiguity, and create structure in fast-paced environments.

• Customer-centric mindset with the ability to balance customer needs with sound technical judgment and business priorities.

• Collaborative mindset with experience partnering across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to achieve successful outcomes.
