This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +4 more states.
• Direct the design, governance, and upkeep of enterprise-level interoperability systems that facilitate imaging workflows, patient identity management, and cross-system data exchange.
• Combine architectural vision with practical administration of interface platforms and health data standards to enhance the connected radiology ecosystem.
• Develop, configure, and maintain interfaces and data transformations utilizing ObjectScript, HL7 v2.x, FHIR, CCD/CDA, JSON, and XML standards.
• Manage and enhance HealthShare/IRIS engines for scalability, uptime, and data accuracy.
• Implement and oversee automation pipelines for interface deployment, configuration management, and testing.
• Create documentation for technical specifications, workflow diagrams, and test plans to ensure knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
• Design and manage the organization's enterprise interoperability and interface framework to support RIS, PACS, and EHR integrations.
• Over 5 years of experience in developing or administering integration platforms such as InterSystems HealthShare and IRIS.
• Proficient in healthcare interoperability standards: HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA/CCD, and JSON/XML mapping.
• Proven experience with DICOM workflows and DICOM-to-HL7 data transformation within radiology settings.
• Knowledge of Radiology Information Systems (Royal, eRAD, or similar).
• Understanding of patient identity management, record matching, and Master Patient Index (MPI) administration.
• Strong understanding of integration protocols: MLLP, REST, SOAP, and SFTP.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare compliance (TEFCA, 21st Century Cures Act), privacy (HIPAA), and regulatory standards (NIST).
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience in supporting large, multisite imaging organizations with distributed RIS/PACS environments.
• Familiarity with API management, containerized interface deployment (Docker/Kubernetes), or message queuing infrastructure.
• Demonstrated success in remote or hybrid collaboration and stakeholder communication.
• Experience in architecting or migrating integration systems within cloud environments (AWS, GCP).
• Certification in InterSystems Healthshare, HL7, or integration architecture is a plus.
• AWS or GCP Health Interoperability Certifications are a plus.
