Intake Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct phone outreach to both new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.

• Enroll patients in specialty services such as patient care management, copay assistance programs, and billing details.

• Handle incoming calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.

• Reach out to physicians to gather essential information.

• Oversee assigned workflow queues.

• Precisely document relevant information and establish prescription orders.

• Convert prescription and patient data into pharmacy dispensing software.

• Support providers and insurance entities in managing prior authorizations.

• Assist in various pharmacy technician duties as required by other facility areas.

• Adhere to all relevant federal and state laws as well as ethical standards.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Some college education is preferred.

• National CPhT certification and/or registration/licensure is necessary based on the requirements of the employee’s residing state.

• At least two years of pharmacy support or healthcare environment experience is preferred.

• Ability to work scheduled hours; shifts may change based on departmental needs.

• Must be available during operating hours of 8am to 7pm from Monday to Thursday and 8am to 6pm on Friday.

• Engage in, comply with, and advocate for compliance program objectives.

• Must consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with fellow employees.

• Must live in an eligible US location; remote work is not available for residents of Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington DC, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
