• Verify insurance providers and primary care physicians via online platforms or phone calls to gather benefit details.
• Complete billing responsibilities promptly.
• Reach out to primary care physicians to secure referrals and authorizations as necessary.
• Provide patients with information regarding insurance benefits, copayments, deductibles, and self-pay balances.
• Input authorization numbers along with accurate CPT codes, NPI, Tax ID, PCP, and payer information into the EMR system.
• Follow up with primary care physicians or insurance providers concerning requested authorizations.
• Cancel and reschedule appointments if authorizations have not been received prior to the service date.
• Ensure the accuracy of patient insurance information and deactivate inactive payers.
• Answer phone calls promptly, addressing requests and inquiries, and directing them appropriately.
• Document referrals, communications, insurance information, and patient data systematically in the EMR.
• Collect information and accurately input insurance billing codes.
• Experience in customer service.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic environment.
• Skill in managing and resolving patient complaints and conflicts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
