Insurance Follow-Up Representative

📋 Description

• Tasked with confirming patient insurance coverage.

• Responsible for collecting data and submitting claims to various private and government-funded insurance providers.

• Follow up on outstanding claims and manage denials for all payers.

• Retrieve information using remote Medicare software.

• Communicate with insurance companies, payers, or patients to obtain necessary information for appeal processing.

• Accurately enter and update benefit information in various databases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• At least 2 years of experience in the medical field is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing is required.

• Experience with both government and commercial payers is essential.

• Familiarity with insurance terminology and processes.

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Experience with medical system platforms such as STAR, EPIC, etc.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be capable of typing at least 25 words per minute.
