Litigation Insurance Adjuster

📋 Description

• Proactively oversee the litigation process for assigned claims, focusing on investigation, evaluation, and negotiation towards resolution.

• Determine the appropriate timing for engaging external resources to conduct claim investigations, provide expert analysis, or deliver legal services.

• Collaborate effectively with Underwriting, Risk Management, Actuarial, and Legal teams.

• Actively educate and inform business partners and credit unions about risks and exposures, as well as operational efficiencies for credit unions and TruStage.

• Exhibit strong interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, analytical, and critical thinking capabilities.

• Deliver timely reporting in accordance with claim handling guidelines.

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of relevant statutes, regulations, and case law.

• Demonstrate familiarity with financial services operations.

• Manage claims across multiple states.

• Pursue maximum recovery or contribution for claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 7 years of claims experience, specifically in litigation.

• Proven expertise in policy coverage and interpretation.

• Committed to meeting the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Demonstrated capacity to work independently, including efficiency in a remote office setting.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, web applications, and general computer skills.

• Some travel may be required for mediations, trials, and credit union visits.

• Make informed, confident, and timely decisions.

• Possess strong organizational, time management, and decision-making abilities.

• Adapt easily to new or changing circumstances, requirements, or priorities.

• Hold an Adjuster License and pursue Continuing Education as necessary.

• AIC, CPCU, or other relevant professional certifications are a plus.

• Experience in project management is an advantage.
